Hardware Information

Pardus Installation

No additional process is needed than the standard installation.

Graphics Card

For HD resolution (1600*1050) and 3D support you should install Nvidia drivers.

Audio Card

It's working out-of-box with no problem. Before 2007.3 external amplifier should be disabled to mute speakers when lineout selected but with 2007.3, latest alsa doesn't need this trick. Internal microphone can be enabled through KMix > Mic/Int.Mic

Keyboard

Multimedia keys, touchpad (with scroll etc.) automatically configured by installation.

CD/DVD Read,Write

DMA support is not enabled since 2.16.18 but no other problem occured for reading DVD/CD/CD-RW/DVD-RW's.

WiFi

Network-manager handles the ipw3945 automatically but the FnF5 key seems not working.

Modem

Haven't been tried

PCMCIA

Haven't been tried

Battery , Power-Management

Suspend to RAM is working properly with BIOS 3.11, with May 2007 update (3.12) you can't recall the system after suspend. You may try acpi_sleep=s3_bios kernel parameter. Suspend to Disk haven't been tried as no swap partition used. Kpowesave can calculate the remaining time a little bit fancy sometimes but no critical problems observed.

Built-in Card-Reader

Working properly without any additional operation with Pardus 2007.1

Not-Working Hardware

Webcam seems not to work, fingerprint reader is working with experimental software but no support with Pardus
