What is Dosemu ?

Install/check of additional package for dosemu.

Open Packet Manager and check/install the following packages:

   gcc
   make
   bison
   flex
   xorg-proto

Downloading and compiling dosemu.

1. Download the dosemu-1.4.0.tgz archive from http://www.dosemu.org/
2. In Konqueror go to the directory where dosemu-1.4.0.tgz was downloaded and right click on this archive's icon and choose "extract here" from the contextual menu that has appeared.
3. Open the new dosemu-1.4.0 directory
4. Press F4 key to open a terminal here
5. Configure with the command:

   ./configure

6. And compile with:

   make

7. Download dosemu-freedos-1.0-bin.tgz from http://www.dosemu.org/
8. Rename it to:

   dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz

9. Move it to the dosemu-1.4.0 directory
10. Get administrator privileges in the terminal with:

    su

11. Install Dosemu with:

    make install

12. If all went OK, press Ctrl+D to exit the administrator terminal mode.

Starting dosemu.

Open a terminal and start dosemu with the command:

dosemu
