What is Dosemu ?
For a description of dosemu see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOSEMU
Install/check of additional package for dosemu.
Open Packet Manager and check/install the following packages:
gcc make bison flex xorg-proto
Downloading and compiling dosemu.
- Download the dosemu-1.4.0.tgz archive from http://www.dosemu.org/
- In Konqueror go to the directory where dosemu-1.4.0.tgz was downloaded and right click on this archive's icon and choose "extract here" from the contextual menu that has appeared.
- Open the new dosemu-1.4.0 directory.
- Press F4 key to open a terminal here.
- Configure with the command:
./configure
- And compile with:
make
- Download dosemu-freedos-1.0-bin.tgz from http://www.dosemu.org/
- Rename it to:
dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz
- Move it to the dosemu-1.4.0 directory.
- Get administrator privileges in the terminal with:
su
- Install Dosemu with:
make install
- If all went OK, press Ctrl+D to exit the administrator terminal mode.
Starting dosemu.
Open a terminal and start dosemu with the command:dosemu
