This document explains how to correctly configure Canon PIXMA MP-630 printer on Pardus.
Installing the packages
Make sure that your printer is not plugged and install the necessary packages by typing:
Pardus 2009
sudo pisi it http://cekirdek.pardus.org.tr/~ozan/dist/binaries/2009/cnijfilter-common-mp630-3.00-1.pisi sudo pisi it http://cekirdek.pardus.org.tr/~ozan/dist/binaries/2009/cnijfilter-mp630series-3.00-1.pisi
Restart the CUPS service after the installation completes:
service cups restart
Configuring the printer
Just plug the printer, the configuration should be done automatically.
Uninstalling the drivers
Remove the corresponding printer from systemsettings and uninstall the cnijfilter-mp630series and cnijfilter-common-mp630 packages either from package manager or from console using pisi command-line tool.
