Based on the experience of Richard de Bruin[1], the following steps are needed to make the sound card work correctly.

Open the following file with nano:

$ sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel

Type the following line into it:

options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-eapd probe_mask=1

Type CTRL+X and CTRL+Y("Yes", it may change according to your system locale) and reboot your system.

The steps above applies to Pardus 2008.x.
